Adobe Acrobat is not the only software that can create, convert and edit PDF files. Proof to this is Avanquest's new Expert PDF Pro application. It is designed to offer the user a different environment and enhanced usability for turning PDF files into Microsoft Word documents, edit them using cut/copy/paste functions, resize them or enhance readability with the aid of geometric shapes, Bezier curves or adding images.

Moreover, Avanquest's new release supports merging multiple documents of different  formats into a single PDF document, making the user's work smoother and effortless. URL embedding is also available in the software to enrich the text with additional web locations.

Annotation tools available permit adding notes, watermarks, comments and stamps bettering and at the same time securing the document. Its integration into Microsoft Word and Excel toolbars make it an easy choice when it comes to converting a document without needing to switch between programs.

Expert PDF Pro comes as a complete solution for managing a PDF document that combines ease of use with security features such as encrypted password protection (256 bit encryption) against printing, editing or copying. Emailing is yet another plus for the software as it offers the possibility to send a document to an email address in just two clicks. Also, it allows the creation of a PDF document from any printable PC application, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint or an image format.

The novelty introduced in Expert PDF Pro is Bates stamping, a method largely used for marking and identifying copyrighted images. In Expert PDF Pro it has the role to index PDFs with time, date, copyrights, and unique coding for easy identification and retrieval.

Platforms compatible with the software are limited to Windows 2000 and the 32-bit versions of Windows XP and Vista. In order to run the application on Vista it needs at least a Pentium IV 2 GHz CPU, 512MB of RAM (1GB is recommended) with 30MB of space available. For Windows 2000 and XP the specs low down to a Pentium II 400MHz with 128MB and 30MB of free space.

This new release of Avanquest's Expert PDF Pro sells for £39.13 and unfortunately there is no try-before-you-buy version available.
