Samsung is a company that deals in a great number of different products, and the latest announcement on its part dealt not with a new PC or smartphone, but a batch of printers featuring the new Polymerized Chemical Toner.

The two products that Samsung has announced go by the names of CLP-325W and CLX-3185FW and are aimed at small workspaces.

As such, they measure 15.3 x 12.3 x 9.6 inches and 16.4 x 14.9 x 13.5 inches, respectively, while still managing a printer speed of up to 17 pages per minute.

As already mentioned, the main asset of the two devices is the Polymerized Chemical Toner.

For one, the transfer efficiency is higher, which creates a thin and uniform toner layer, meaning that less waste toner is created and the fusing temperature is lower.

The toner also needs 35% less energy than conventional one, which means less carbon dioxide.

All in all, the toner's chemical toner fusing ability lets one make more durable prints with less image destruction and in a much more effective and efficient manner than would otherwise be possible.

What's more, the one-touch WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) allows the printers to connect to the wireless network in under two minutes.

Finally, they are compatible with the AnyWeb print software, which lets one select, drag and drop contents form web pages onto a black page which can be easily saved and printed.

“We develop printers with the knowledge that customers are looking for intuitive, stylish devices that easily integrate into their daily lives,” said Ken Colby, director of printer marketing at Samsung Electronics Enterprise Business Division.

“By developing printers that deliver high quality prints, feature wireless functionality and are simple to use, Samsung is providing smart solutions for consumers,” he added.

The CLP-325W and CLX-3185FW will sell for $199.99 and $399.99, respectively, starting January, 2011. The latter is more expensive because it is a multifunction printer (with an LCD control panel) that can scan, copy, fax and print.
