When the first server was introduced, it opened new doors for interaction between PCs and their users.

Now, after decades of networking and Internet advancements, servers are so good at working together that cloud data centers have become the newest type of connectivity hub.

ASUS has just set up one cloud computing platform for digital content.

Established with assistance from Taiwan's Industrial Development Bureau (IDB) under the Ministry of Economic Affairs, the platform provides development tools and various technologies including DRM, e-book standard formats and Big Data analysis.

Using those, content providers (online game operators and software vendors) can digitize content for B2B sale through Taiwan Digital Mart.

I imagine that ASUS will try to extend beyond the borders of Taiwan sooner or later. First it needs to attract more than 10,000 content providers to Taiwan Digital Mart though.
