Kingston is known for making all sorts of storage solutions, so it is no surprise that it would come out and reveal a new one for mobile devices, especially one with the high specifications implied by its rank on the Class rating system.

When it comes to mobile devices, especially smartphones, storage space has to come in very small packages.

Also, when it comes to data in small packages, NAND Flash chips are usually the way to go, as evident from how they've been showing up everywhere lately.

Even more specifically, for devices meant to be held in a pocket or carried around all over the place, memory cards are the first obvious choice.

Speaking of memory cards, this is exactly what Kingston has prepared, according to its most recent press announcement.

More specifically, the outfit created a microSD card compliant with the Class 10 rating, meaning that it works at a transfer sped of 10 MB/s at the minimum.

The storage capacity is a solid 32 GB, meaning that it will end up in not just high-end smartphones, but also tablets.

It is compliant with all microSDHC host devices, although not with microSD standard ones, while its format is FAT32.

There are also 4 GB, 8 GB and 16 GB versions of the product and, to ensure wide compatibility, adapters are available.

To be more precise, one can put the small card inside an SD adapter and use it as a regular SDHC card.

All in all, the newcomer measures 0.43 x 0.59 x 0.039 inches (11 mm x 15 mm x 1 mm) and can be sold alone or along with an SD adapter and an USB card reader.

The price of the 32 GB card is $153, although the full bundle above goes to $157. The sum of money needed for a purchase can go all the way down to $21 for the standalone 4GB card.
