One of the smartphones that Canadian mobile phone maker BlackBerry should bring to the market before the end of this year is said to be the BlackBerry R10, which can be admired in a new set of photos.

The handset, previously spotted in a Red flavor, can be admired in Black now, with details on its hardware specifications also available.

The new mobile phone is expected to arrive on shelves with both a touchscreen display and a physical QWERTY keyboard, the same as the BlackBerry Q10, though with a lower price tag attached to it, it seems.

Rumor has it that BlackBerry R10 would sport a 3.1-inch touchscreen display on the front, capable of delivering a 720 x 720 pixels resolution, the same as the Q10.

Furthermore, it should pack 2GB of RAM, most probably paired with a dual-core processor, and 8GB of internal memory.

The smartphone is expected to arrive on shelves with a 5-megapixel photo snapper on the back, capable of shooting photos of up to 2560 x 1920 pixels in resolution, as well as a front camera for making video calls.

Additionally, the unannounced BlackBerry R10 smartphone is said to run under the BlackBerry 10.1 OS and to be powered by a 1800mAh non-removable battery.

Some of the newly leaked photos with the device show it stacked up against the BlackBerry Q10 and Z10, providing users with the possibility to make an idea of what it will look like when compared to the already available BlackBerry 10 devices.

The handset will sport a more square-ish design when compared to the other smartphones, but will pack the same volume buttons on the side. Unfortunately, it won’t hit the market with a removable battery on the back, bbin notes.

No official confirmation on this device has emerged so far, but rumor has it that it might be announced at the BlackBerry Live conference this month, and that it will hit shelves in August this year.
