A successful attempt?

In spite of the boost of the MP3 players using hard drive storage facilities, Flash versions are still popular.

As a proof Aztech released today two new series of products, aFP50 and aFP500, whose primary advantage seems to be the design. Compact and slim, connecting to PC-s via the USB, they can be used for storing files as well.

The two new models in the aFP500 series, B and BX, can store up to 1 GB and support MP3 and WMA formats. They also have equalizer, FM Radio and voice recording capabilities, while being delivered in various colors: blue, red or chrome.

The Li-Ion batteries provide enough autonomy (up to 10 hours without recharging).

They also integrate a small sized LCD, delivering miscellaneous information.

The A and B versions of aFP50 can only store 512 MB of MP3 and WMA supported files (around 12 hours of music). USB connectivity is also present, though they lack voice registration and the FM radio tuner.

Just like the aFP500, standard features include Li-Ion batteries. The models are actually the first Aztech attempt to enter this market, so far the manufacturer being specialized in DECT phones and walkie-talkies.
