In case you feel like your sound equipment is no longer offering you that pristine performance you're dreaming about, maybe it's time to have your gear upgraded. The latest in home audio are the new pieces of tech from Lyngdorf, the D-1 preamplifier/processor and the TDA-2300 amplifier.[admark=1]

If you're looking to get the absolute best from your loudspeakers, choosing a professional amplification and room-processing might prove to be one of the best solutions for a neat performance with either music or movies in simple 2.0 stereo or mind-boggling 8.x configurations.

In fact, this is exactly what the D-1 preamp/processor does: it will allow you to setup and control your speakers in installations from 2.0 to 8.8-channels. While being THX-certified, the D-1 will be able to easily control and administer up to 16 speakers, including multiple subwoofers linked via LFE connectors, setting a new reference standard as far as professional home audio is concerned.

The D-1 runs with the Room Perfect DSP software which will dramatically enhance the way your gear sounds; this technology ensures a significantly more efficient elimination of adverse room behavior, ensuring better timbre matching between speakers, regardless of the environment irregularities. The preamp has a one-button user interface and a lit display for easy visual communication. The announced shipping date is March 2008, for a hefty $15,000 price.

The second cool announcement form Lyngdorf is about their new reference amplifier, the TDA-2300. Especially developed to be the best possible match for the D-1 preamplifier, the TDA-2300 will deliver you 2x300W RMS in 4 Ohms impedance. This amp can be loaded in a rack with maximum convenience as it occupies only 1 rack space unit; grouping 4 of them for a to-die-for 8-channel array will be even nicer as it will take little space from your valuable living room.

The preamp and amplifiers can be daisy-linked via the proprietary Lyngdorf Link system, ensuring high-quality digital signal distribution from source to speakers via one cable; the Lyngdorf Link allows both signal and control data to be sent simultaneously through one single cable, delivering full-resolution digital audio for outstanding results.

Even more, all signal is digital, and there are no DAC or A/D processing stages; this leads to a dramatic increase of audio quality that will let you discover the true nature of your loudspeakers. The TDA-2300 will also start shipping in March 2008, with a price tag around $2,900.
