The development team in charge of the Assassin's Creed franchise has announced that a new title will be revealed on May 12 and now a lot more details about it have been offered by some of the marketing materials that the company is planning to use.

A report on Polygon states that the official name will be Syndicate and that the launch date is at the moment set for the holiday season of this year.

Original reports suggested that the title will be Victory, but it seems that Ubisoft has decided to change it at some point to better reflect the nature of the experience.

The marketing material for Assassin's Creed: Syndicate also talks about a stunning recreation of London during the Industrial Revolution period, which will deliver more immersion than any title in the franchise launched so far did.

The main character will be called Jacob Frye, and it seems that those who pre-order the game at certain store will be able to get a replica necklace, which has the same design as one worn by the protagonist, which will be important to the narrative.

Various other teaser materials feature phrases like God Save the Queen and Strength Through Loyalty.

It seems that the game will include a brass knuckle as a weapon.

Assassin's Creed: Syndicate will include a set of new features

The developers at Ubisoft have not talked about the kinds of new mechanics that will be included in the coming installment.

The team has said that it is listening to the feedback that gamers have been offering for Unity in order to try and implement the kinds of experiences that they crave for.

Rumors are saying that Assassin's Creed: Syndicate will feature a new grappling hook that allows for increased mobility and that players will be able to battle on moving carriages.

Sources have also been talking about more cooperative mechanics.

More details will be delivered on May 12, although it's unlikely that Ubisoft will offer a full look at the story that the title will deliver.

Assassin's Creed will probably be launched only on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.
