Archos is quite well-known for being one of the most innovative companies around, and now, the French outfit is back with yet another very interesting product, the ARNOVA, that manages to combine Internet radio and web TV capabilities into a single device.

So, what makes this thing different from the numerous other web radio receivers out there is the fact that it comes equipped with a 3.5-inch color TFT screen offering a 320 x 240 pixels resolution, that enables users to watch around 1,500 web TV channels worldwide (including US, UK, Germany, France, Italy , Spain, Netherlands), beside the over 12,000 Internet radio stations it can tune into.

Moreover, the device offers an extensive level of support for various file types, working quite well with AVI, MPEG-4, FLV video files, MP3, WAV, AAC, FLAC audio files and JPEG, PNG, GIF photos.

Quite naturally, the device connects to the Internet via the built-in Wi-Fi interface that also makes it uPnP compatible, while coming equipped with 2 x 2W speakers, that should prove to be quite enough for one's bedroom.

Plus, the device also sports 2 GB built-in memory, that can be further enlarged via the SD card slot, as well as plenty of additional connectivity options, including here a 3.5 mm audio-in jack (to plug a MP3 player) and a 3.5 mm audio-out jack (to plug some headphones), as well as a mini USB connector.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll also have to mention that the device offers an alarm clock function with multiple alarms and different tone types, is powered either via a mains adapter or 4 x AA batteries, and is fairly easy to carry around, as it measures 199 x 84 x 84 mm (7.8 x 3.3 x 3.3 inches) and weighs around 416 g (14.7 oz).

Sadly, no details on the pricing and/or availability of the ARNOVA device from Archos have been provided just yet, but we'll try to come back with the respective details as soon as they become available.
