Apple has announced, via its iPhone Developer Connection, the addition of new App Status Indicators to help track binaries submitted in iTunes Connect. A developer-centered service, iTunes Connect provides access to tools and resources for the distribution of iPhone and iPod touch applications through the iTunes App Store. These include application delivery, application-management tools, sales information, banking setup, and financial reporting.

“We've added two new status indicators to iTunes Connect: ‘Upload Received’ and ‘Invalid Binary,’” Apple says on the section dedicated to news and announcements for iPhone developers. “These new statuses give you a more precise indication of the state of your app when you submit your binary through Application Loader.”

“Upload Received means that your binary has been received through Application Loader but has not yet completed processing into the iTunes system,” Apple continues to explain. “Invalid Binary means that your binary has been received through Application Loader but did not meet the requirements of iTunes Connect. For more information, refer to the App Store Resource Center, App Store Approval Process section,” the company’s message ends.

Recently, Apple has also announced via its iPhone Dev Center that developers can now update their banking information on iTunes Connect. Those subscribed for using the service with the Admin or Finance roles can now make changes to the banking information used to deposit App Store payments, according to the Mac maker.

Additional language support has also been added to iTunes Connect. Apple has been busy expanding the list of languages available for localizing an app’s metadata. The company ended up adding six extra languages: Brazilian, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Swedish.

On the section reserved for news and announcements for iPhone devs, Apple also has the very important App Store Submission Tips, a valuable resource for those who want to make it in this business.
