All desktop PC CPUs ship with coolers, but the stock solutions aren't that great, especially when you want to overclock the CPU, so companies like Corsair have custom models on sale, including liquid coolers.

There are two types of liquid coolers: water cooling systems involving a large reservoir, pump and water blocks, and closed-loop liquid coolers, all-in-ones as it were.

The latter come out periodically, and are a preferred choice for many, since they don't need a whole water cooling system installed in a computer, but are just as good.

The coolant inside isn't water, sure, and leakage can spell doom for it and the PC itself, but it's not like the hardware makers haven't figured out how to prevent that. Besides, leakage isn't any less likely on a standard water cooling system.

Corsair's newest product in this market is called Hydro Series H75 and has a 120 mm radiator, and two SP120L PWM 120 mm high static pressure fans.

Said fans spin at 2,000 RPM (rotations per minute) and produce 31.4 dBA of noise, which is actually significant for high-end hardware.

Then again, people who get a liquid cooler probably have some sort of sound isolation in their cases, so that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Corsair included PWM fan control and gave the Hydro Series H75 dual-fan 120 mm liquid CPU cooler an advanced copper cold plate and manifold design.

Both Intel and AMD CPUs and APUs are supported: AM2, AM3, FM1 and Fm2 sockets for the former, LGA 1156, 1155, 1150, 1366, 2011 for the latter.

Corsair wants all buyers to pay $84.99 / €84.99 for the newcomer. All coolers have tool-free installation Brackets and a scaled design (pre-filled and maintenance-free). The warranty lasts 5 years.

"The H75 is a great choice for PC enthusiasts who want the streamlined features of our H60 120 mm cooler but desire the additional cooling performance of a dual fan design," said Xavier Lauwaert, director of product marketing at Corsair.
