We've talked about the Acer Chromebook recently, when the company unleashed it on the several markets. The C720 comes sporting some impressive specifications like the Intel Celeron 2955U Haswell processor embedded inside.

Now a new tip received from Sweden by Chrome Story seems to indicate the company is looking to add some extra variants to its Chromebook portfolio.

According to the spec sheet provided, Acer might plan to bundle the C720 with 8GB of RAM, 32GB of storage and a touchscreen display.

The model currently available on the market in Europe sells for €249 / $336, so the new model will come with a chunkier price tag.

Judging by the Swedish listing, the model with 8GB of RAM and 32GB SSD is priced for 3490SK which translates into $547 / €398. Nevertheless, we can’t be sure if these prices will apply to other markets as well.

If we look at current Chromebooks featuring a touch screen display like the Google Chromebook Pixel, we’ll notice it comes priced at $1,299 / €944.

Production for the beefier versions is expected to start in November.
