Audio-video receivers are unique in that they centralize the video and audio streams from multiple other sources, like set-top boxes, media players and such.

Pioneer has released two such products, called VSX-43 and VSX-70, and equipped with 4K UHD TV support and multi-tasking.

That means the receiver can play a video on a TV and play CD music at the same time.

This is accomplished by implementing what are called “zones.” One zone plays the movie and the second plays the CD.

VSX-43 is a 7.1-channel receiver, while the VSX-70 is a 7.2-channel receiver.

VSX-70 also has eight HDMI inputs with Mobile High Definition Link 2.0 support (MHL, good for Android device connections) and the VSX-30 six.

Sales have already started, for $525 / 525 Euro (VSX-30) and $750 / 750 Euro (VSX-70). Go here for all the info.
