Sceptre continues its impressive 2010 product roll-out with yet another addition to the company's line of LCD HDTVs, namely the X420BV-FHD model, which delivers some pretty cool features, coupled with an elegant and attractive external design.

This simple yet elegant TV features a curved front frame, crystal clear display and sleek design, while also boasting an impressive 1.06 billion display colors for a broader range of distinct colors and a more vivid/realistic viewing experience.

The new wall mountable, swivel capable 42-inch LCD HDTV also delivers a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, accompanied by 4,000:1 typical contrast ratio, a 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD) resolution, as well as a pretty good brightness level, set at around 500 cd/m2.

Plus, it has a rapid 5 ms response time (good enough for general-purpose applications) and comes with SPDIF digital audio output, an all in one ATSC/NTSC/QAM tuner and 3 HDMI ports for added functionality.

These added HDMI ports allow users to connect various peripherals, including Blu-ray players, personal computers, AV receivers and video game consoles, while the embedded VGA port makes transitioning from TV to PC monitor quick and easy.

On the other hand, given the fact that most computer manufacturers are quite serious about “killing” the VGA port on the future, we're pretty sure that this port will become pretty much useless at some point on the future.

We'll also have to mention that the device comes equipped with a headphone jack, as well as a 10 watts x 2 stereo speakers, which should prove to be quite enough for a medium-sized room.

Unfortunately, much in the same way as some of the other products from Sceptre, the X420BV-FHD is available for just $599 MSRP across several major retailers in the US, such as the Sears, Target, Amazon, K-Mart and NewEgg.
