When purchasing a designer shoe, the obstacles a woman must face are numerous and, strange as it may sound, the exorbitant price tag only comes last on a list with them. Enter Net-a-Porter and a brand new service.

As the Daily Mail can confirm, the women’s website has come up with a very ingenious idea in order to encourage women to buy designer shoes – by making some of the most coveted pairs almost instantly accessible to them.

As noted above, the biggest obstacle in purchasing designer shoes is availability, being known for a fact that one must put one’s name on never-ending waiting lists before actually having a chance to wear a pair.

Net-a-Porter offers women willing to pay cold hard cash for designer shoes the chance to jump at the top of the list – kind of like skipping the queue, but online. And for a lot of money.

The new offer is called “Shoe Subscription” and offers women precedence on the waiting list, together with a pair of designer pumps each month.

“A new gift card, to launch this Christmas from top online retailer Net-a-porter.com, will literally buy her a place at the front of the queue – as well as the shoes she so desires,” the Mail writes of the new service for all fashionistas out there.

“A recipient of the site’s ‘shoe subscription’ can repeat the process 12 times over – yes, that’s a pair of the world’s most coveted shoes for every month of the year,” the British tab further writes.

That includes a pair of Brian Atwood’s Donna shoes, a pair of which “Desperate Housewives” stunner Eva Longoria also donned on the red carpet at this year’s MTV European Music Awards, held in Madrid, Spain – and where she acted as host.

The downside of such a generous offer – the price of the subscription: £8,000 for a year. The upside: you also get a personal style advisor included in the bargain.

“At least you would be unlikely to make any sartorial faux pas, as the gift card comes with a hotline to your own personal style advisor. They’ll give you a heads-up on when the new Charlotte Olympias will be hitting the site, and help you distinguish your Camilla Skovgaards from your YSL Tributes,” the Mail says.
