Neonode, the Swedish mobile communication company, has just announced that Neonode N2, the company's latest stylish mobile phone, will be released in new colors soon.

The new N2 versions (the exact colors should be unveiled in March) will be produced in collaboration with Balda AG, a multinational German company that works with many important producers like Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, Canon, Phillips or Hitachi.

"The release of the color portfolio is a natural extension of a great product that has already sold more than 30,000 units in the last quarter of 2007," said Per Hellberg, Vice President of Sales at Neonode. "We strongly believe that the new colors as well as upcoming accessories will constitute a product assortment that will enhance our coming sales of Neonode N2 even further."

Neonode N2 measures only 77 x 47 x 14.7 millimeters and weighs 60 grams. It is a GSM quad-band phone with GPRS, working on the 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz frequencies and providing more features than expected from such a small handset. First of all, it packs a 2-inch touchscreen and comes with an intuitive user interface, called Neno. A video with the phone in action can be found at the official Neonode website, at this address.

Among the highlight features of Neonode N2, we have a 2 Megapixel camera, WAP 2.0 browser, Bluetooth, Media Player and a MiniSD card of 1 GB. Plus, the producer says that the handset's memory can be expanded up to no less than 32GB, which would make the phone one of the most evolved ones in terms of available storage space.

Neonode N2 is currently available in Europe and will also reach the U.S. market this year, as FCC approved the phone back in October 2007. No word about the pricing or carrier for North America, but we should mention that, on the Neonode website, the device is available (in the original black version) for 439 Euro, which means about 645 USD.
