Cute little touchscreen phone

Neonode N2 seems to be on its way towards a US release, as it has just been spotted at FCC. It's far from what the iPhone has to offer, although this handset makes its intention of copying Apple's phone pretty clear.

The Neonode N2 proves to be a cheaper solution for those who want to have a touchscreen enabled handset, without the high prices that regular smartphones come for. The device has been announced back in February at the 3GSM event in Barcelona and has already made its way to a great number of countries throughout the globe. There are high chances of seeing it in the US as well in the near future, although its success here is rather questionable.

The small size is certainly one of the most striking features on the Neonode N2. At the dimensions of 77 x 47 x 14.7 mm and 70 grams, it should feel just like a toy in the user's hand. There is certainly a large number of fans out there for extra small mobile phones, which should widen the market for this specific device. It looks cute, feels light and has a touchscreen too? what else is there that you might want?

Perhaps a better camera than the 2-megapixel one that the phone comes equipped with could make a good start. Moreover, the small size puts its toll on the phone's screen, which is of only 2 inches in size, making it one of the smallest with touch sensitivity out there. Moreover, its resolution of 176 x 220 pixels should be great for entry-level handsets, but not for one that uses the most evolved display technology.

The fact that Neonode N2 has just been spotted at FCC makes it clear that there are high chances of soon seeing it out on the US market. There is still no price tag attached to the phone, although the producer should reveal it in the near future.
