Neonode N2, the touchscreen handset produced by the Sweden-based company Neonode, is now available in a new version, called Backyard Babies Limited Edition Neonode N2. Obviously, this is an edition offered to customers in collaboration with Backyard Babies, the Swedish punk rock band formed back in 1987.

The BYB Neonode N2 includes the new self-titled album of the band (freshly released on August 13), a bonus track, a full video, and several ringtones and wallpapers.

As for the phone itself, Neonode N2 is one of the smallest touchscreen mobile devices ever released on the market. Its features include a 2-inch TFT touchscreen display with 176 x 220 pixels, a Neno interface said to be very intuitive, Media player, Bluetooth, stereo headphones, HTML browser, a 2 Megapixel camera, quad-band GSM/GPRS connectivity (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 MHz), and a 1GB memory card that can be replaced with another, of up to 32 GB.

Talking about the new N2, Dregen, lead guitarist of Backyard Babies, said, "The Neonode N2 is a real odd bird compared to its competitors, but that's just what we like. The N2 has a cool design and an alternative feel. We especially like the rugged black surface and that it has the form factor of an actual dog tag."

To get your own Backyard Babies Limited Edition Neonode N2, you can visit Neonode's official web shop, found at this address. The handset has a retail price of 250 Euros, 353 USD or 200 GBP, depending on the country you buy it from. This is the same price as the one of the regular Neonode N2, so Backyard Babies fans who are also into touchscreen phones should be happy about the offering.

Neonode didn't mention how many units of the BYB N2 handset are available, but a sure thing is that this is a limited edition, which, as its very name implies, will not be available for long. So, if you're interested in the handset, make sure you get your hands on it as soon as possible.
