14 DAY TRIAL // NeoOffice.org has released the sixth patch for its full-featured suite of office applications, NeoOffice. The update addresses an issue that prevented video from being displayed in Slide Show Movies, according to a forum post.
“Since we released NeoOffice 2.2.5 Patch 5 nearly two weeks ago, two users have reported that running QuickTime movies in their documents only play sound and do not show any video,” the team reports on trinity.neooffice.org. “We have fixed this bug and we have released NeoOffice 2.2.5 Patch 6. If you experience problems playing QuickTime movies in NeoOffice, we recommend that you install NeoOffice 2.2.5 Patch 6,” the development team adds.
With the release of Patch 5 for NeoOffice 2.2.5, the development team behind the popular office suite could confirm that NeoOffice began respecting the “Jump to here” setting in the Appearance System Preferences, while the Print sheet would no longer attach to floating toolbar windows. The patch also fixed a bug on Mac OS X 10.5 where radio buttons and checkboxes retained the active appearance when their windows were not active, the changelog revealed. Developers were also able to address an issue where playing a sound in the Gallery could cause NeoOffice to crash. Lastly, Patch 5 added a hidden setting to disable all trackpad gestures in NeoOffice, for those using the suite on a MacBook.
NeoOffice includes word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing and database programs. It boasts the ability to import, edit and exchange files with other office programs. Most Microsoft Office 2007 Word, Excel and PowerPoint files are supported, as are Excel VBA Macros.
