Now that Jay Leno has expressed his disinterest to replace former arch nemesis David Letterman on his CBS talk-show, there are other names being thrown around as suitable replacements. One of the more interesting ones happens to be that of “How I Met Your Mother” actor Neil Patrick Harris.

The actor has recently wrapped up his role as Barney of the hit sitcom “How I Met Your Mother” and some think that the popularity he garnered on the show is going to help him land the talk-show host gig.

Harris wasted no time in addressing the rumors during a press conference and didn't seem too enthused about the idea. “I'm super focused on ‘Hedwig’ at the moment, so that hasn't even been a conversation at all”, he said, referring to his current Broadway role in “Hedwig and the Angry Itch.”

But, he didn't rule out the scenario entirely. “I'm a big fan of CBS and Les [Moonves, CBS chief], so who knows?” he floated the possibility, but not before adding that “It would be an asinine amount of work.”

At the moment, a better suited candidate for the job that opens up in 2015 is Chelsea Handler, who is said to already be in talks with CBS about the project. But that still doesn't rule out other potential replacements: Stephen Colbert, Ellen DeGeneres and even Tina Fey.
