Because she’s too loud during rehearsals

Madonna works many hours a day in order to be able to put on such fiery performances, this is something the singer herself has mentioned on countless occasions. However, for the residents of a building in New York City where she too has an apartment, this has proven too much, as one has filed a lawsuit against her with the ultimate goal in mind of having her evicted, All Headline News informs.

According to court documents filed by Karen George in the Manhattan Supreme Court, Madonna is nothing short of a neighbor from hell. The $6.5-million flat on the seventh floor of the luxury building was initially bought with the purpose of turning it into an office for Guy Ritchie, Madonna’s former husband, the famed British movie director. However, when the two separated, the singer decided to use it solely to rehearse, especially since she also had a major tour coming up.

However, the noise has gotten too much for George to bear, which is why she has now decided to take the singer to court. “Madonna and one or more of her invited guests repeatedly dance and train... to unreasonably high-decibel, amplified music, causing noise and vibration to pour through the walls, ceilings and radiators. Ms. George has been forced to endure blaring music, stomping and shaking walls for approximately one and a half to three hours each day.” the lawsuit alleges.

This is not a new problem either, it is said further on. Apparently, the managers of the building have long approached the Queen of Pop in view of coming up with a schedule for the rehearsals so that they could then notify the other residents as well and thus reduce the discomfort to the best of their abilities. Madonna, however, failed to produce the schedule, perhaps because she liked to rehearse without one.

Ms. George, who lives above Madonna’s apartment, also claims in the papers she’s endured the noise for months on a daily basis, for periods lasting from an hour and a half to up to three hours. As of now, the board of managers have acted upon George’s legal move by reportedly warning Madonna they will evict her if the dance and music sessions do not come to an end right on the spot. A rep for the singer was not immediately available for comment at the time of writing.
