The first downloadable content pack for Need for Speed: Most Wanted has just been confirmed by EA and Criterion Games, in the form of the Ultimate Speed Pack, which brings new cars, events, milestones, and rewards to owners of the racing game.

Need for Speed: Most Wanted came out at the end of October and brought forth a new type of racing experience that had most of the features from the original Most Wanted game, but also featured all-new mechanics like the free drive one, through which players could unlock any new car by finding it in the game world.

Now, developer Criterion has confirmed that it will support the game with a variety of post-launch content, the first of which being the Ultimate Speed Pack add-on.

The DLC will include not just new cars but also new events, as well as a new Most Wanted rival who drives the stunning Hennessey Venom GT Spyder.

Check out all of the details about the new add-on below, via an official statement.

"The Need for Speed Most Wanted Ultimate Speed Pack gives you all you need to take back the streets from your friends. With access to five of the fastest cars ever built, you’ll set faster times, blast through speed cameras at heart-pounding speeds and jump further through billboards, leaving your mark in your friend’s world."

"Included in the DLC is the Pagani Zonda R, McLaren F1 LM, Lamborghini Aventador J and Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. Test your driving skills in 25 new events spread throughout the city that have been built to push these cars to the limit."

"Then battle to takedown an all-new Most Wanted rival, the undisputed champion of raw speed: the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder. Take your advantage into multiplayer and embrace the speed by achieving more than 70 all-new speed-themed milestones to earn Speed Points and unlock the rewards necessary to give you the edge to dominate your rivals."

The Ultimate Speed Pack DLC for NFS: Most Wanted will be released on December 18 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360 platforms and costs $9.99/€9.99/800 MS Points.
