Xbox Live Marketplace now has available for download a demo of the latest installment in the Need for Speed series, Carbon. The space needed to install the demo is around 1 GB but Xbox users from Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Singapore and Taiwan can not benefit from this new release.

Need for Speed Carbon will be the first installment in the NFS series to be launched on all consoles. From the looks of the promotional photos and videos released by now, Carbon will mark the comeback of night-time racing to the Need for Speed series. As always a "babe" - played by model Emmanuelle Vaugier - will be present in the game to give you instructions.

As regarding cars, Carbon, will have a selection of cars from the Need for Speed installments released so far, but also some new spectacular additions like Chevrolet Chevelle SS, Mustang Shelby GT500 and Audi Le Mans Quattro.

EA Black Box Executive Producer, Larry LaPierre declared that Need for Speed Carbon is meant as a sequel to Most Wanted and that is why the new game will incorporate many ideas from Most Wanted. Players will be able to race in a city located on the West Coast of the United States, presumably called Palmont as it resulted of a screenshot that captured the license plate of a car.

Aren't your fingers itching with impatience? I know mine are!
