The evacuation follows a shooting at Naval Sea Systems Command building

News crews have captured the moment when the employees stuck on the grounds of the Navy base in Washington were being evacuated. The evacuation was prompted by the shooting of four people at the D.C. Navy base.

According to WUSA 9, witnesses have been flown out one by one. SWAT teams are on the ground and WUSA 9 writes that the suspect has barricaded himself to escape being captured.

The shooting took place at Naval Sea Systems Command building, and at least two officers were injured.

One of the MVP officers at the scene was shot in both legs. The suspect is described as a black male, 5'10" to 6 ft. (178-182 cm) tall and weighing 170 lb. (77 kg).

Meanwhile, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is delaying flights as the situation is resolved.
