Officials inform that flights have been grounded at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington D.C. over a shooting at the local Navy base.
At least four people have been injured so far, including two officers.
Authorities have also closed down an administrative building and six schools as a precautionary measure.
WUSA 9 relays a statement by DCPS, which mentions the Eagle Academy as one of the schools on lockdown.
Flights at Reagan (DCA) Airport have only been delayed; they are not canceled at this point.
“Due to OTHER / SECURITY, there is a Traffic Management Program in effect for traffic arriving Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Washington, DC (DCA),” the Federal Aviation Administration has announced.
