Alexis called the police to tell them that he was afraid of the voices in his head

New details are being released about Washington D.C. Navy Yard shooting suspect, Aaron Alexis. I wrote earlier that police believe that he has been experiencing mental issues.

The AP informed that he thought he was being followed with microwave devices, possibly to get inside his thoughts.

This is a classic sign of schizophrenia, paired with the fact that he believed that he was hearing voices.

More so, he felt afraid for his life, fearing the voices would inflict harm on him. That led to him calling the police on August 7, asking for help to escape the voices. It was the only call of this kind that he made.

The suspect also changed hotels a lot, possibly for the same reason. In 2010, he shot through the ceiling, with the bullet reaching the apartment of a woman he had been arguing with.
