Naturally, if Advanced Micro Devices launches a new graphics card, Gigabyte isn't a company that likes to be left out.

That is why, like most of its peers, it has formally launched a Radeon HD 7990 dual-GPU graphics adapter.

6 GB of GDDr5 at 6 GHz clock speed, two Tahiti 28nm GPUs at 1 GHz frequency, a pair of 384-bit memory interfaces, 2048 stream processors 32 ROPs and 128 TMUs per chip. These are the technical details.

A pair of 8-pin PCI Express connectors provide the power, while four mini-DisplayPort outputs and a dual-link DVI port make up the connectivity back panel.

The price is, like in all other cases, $1,000 / €1,000. People checking online stores may look up the part number GV-R799D5-6GD-B. Go here for the list of alternatives, from AMD's reference adapter to XFX's unit.
