Owners of BlackBerry 10-powered smartphones out there can now download and install a new highly appealing app for their devices, namely Evernote.

The software has been released as a native application for them, and is up for grabs through the official channels as version 5.0.0.44.

Evernote was already present on BlackBerry 10, though it was integrated within the Remember app that the operating system came with right from the start.

The new software release, however, comes as a standalone, native application for all devices powered by BlackBerry 10.1 and up.

For those out of the loop, we should note that the mobile client was designed to provide users with the possibility to easily take notes while on the go.

“This award winning app lets you remember and recall anything that happens in your life,” the application’s description reads.

“From notes to ideas to snapshots to recordings, put it all into Evernote and watch as everything instantly synchronizes from your BlackBerry to the Web to your Mac or Windows desktop.”

With Evernote for BlackBerry, users will also be able to search for notes that they have created on their smartphones or on other devices. All the notes are available for fast access in a single place, regardless of when or where they were taken.

“You can even search for printed or handwritten text within your snapshots - great for business cards, whiteboards, and wine labels,” Evernote explains.

Evernote can easily prove a great tool for both personal and professional use, as it enables users to easily take research and class notes, or get things written down during client and sales meetings.

It also offers support for the recording of voice memos, and keeps everything synchronized across devices. On top of that, the application is available for free download and use.
