14 DAY TRIAL // Late last year, actress Natalie Portman announced that she and ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied were engaged and expecting their first child. Now, tabloids are saying she may have a “Kevin Federline situation” on her hands.
Fans may remember the kind of negative media Federline got when it became clear that his marriage to pop star Britney Spears wasn’t working out, and later on, after the divorce.
Regardless of what he did, he was always considered a gold-digger, the backup dancer who tried to get his time in the spotlight by marrying the more famous Spears.
Millepied, who choreographed parts of the ballet scenes in “Black Swan” and also has a role in the film, may be precisely like that for Natalie Portman, the print issue of In Touch Weekly claims (story via here).
Admittedly, Portman’s friends are very worried about her, namely about the fact that Benjamin may be out to make a name for himself by being associated with the much-beloved Portman.
“Does Natalie Portman have a Kevin Federline situation with her choreographer fiancé Benjamin Millepied? Friends of the actress are concerned that Benjamin may not have the best intentions,” the mag writes.
Benjamin is actually out to get his name out there and he doesn’t really care if Natalie gets hurt in the process, unnamed but reportedly reliable sources say for the publication.
He’ll undoubtedly break her heart.
“He’s a self-promoter who’s loving the spotlight. Her friends are worried she’s in over her head,” one spy says of the surprising engagement and unplanned pregnancy.
“I don’t think he even thought twice about leaving his girlfriend – which isn’t a very good sign of character. He seems like a social climber who was all over Natalie the moment they met,” another insider adds.
Portman’s friends are said to be so convinced of Benjamin’s poisonous nature that they’ve already started referring to him by a nickname.
“They’re calling him the ballet version of K-Fed! Unfortunately, he’s the father of her baby, and her pals think that she wouldn’t be getting married if she wasn’t pregnant, and that it’s all going too fast. They’re nervous that Natalie will wake up one day and wonder what happened,” says another spy.
