Namco Bandai Europa has announced that it plans to release a new game in the long running Naruto series in November in European territories. Called Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5, it is the second title that mirrors the mythology of the Shippued anime series and the developer is saying that the game will offer more content than any other installment. The fresh Naruto iteration will arrive in November 2009 for the PlayStation 2.

The plot of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 is set to take players from the moment Naruto returns to Konoha until the story arc that deals with the rescue of Sasuke.

The main game mode will be called Master and will allow gamers to experience a variety of new gameplay features, like fresh fighting styles, better cell gameplay featuring three characters, new special abilities, options of boosting some character stats, new equipment and upgrade some of the Jutsus.

Players will be able to choose a partner character in combat, granting them new moves and special powers. It seems that they will also play the role of Naruto's enemies, experiencing their fighting styles and seeing what they will be up against in the main game mode.

Developer CyberConnect 2 is saying that 60 characters taken from the anime series will be available to players and 24 battle stages have been implemented. Battles can be against an Artificial Intelligence that has been improved versus the previous titles but two players can go head to head in multiplayer.

Namco Bandai is also revealing that the original Japanese audio of the game will be included in the European release alongside localization for five other languages. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 will sport an in-game shop and collectibles that will insure players go through the game quite a few times.
