Napster announces new MP3 offering: unrestricted access and 5 downloads for only $5 per month

The well-known digital music provider Napster has recently launched its newest offering, which includes both the liberty to download MP3s as well as the advantages of enjoying high-quality music streaming features. The new package comes for only $5 per month, and it offers full-time access to the already famous on-demand music streaming service, enabling users to grab five MP3 tracks that can be played on any MP3 player, including iPhone, iPod, or music-enabled mobile phones.

Through this new deal, Napster wants to give its customers the possibility to benefit from owning MP3 songs that they would later be able to burn or transfer according to their liking, but also to permit them to enjoy its comprehensive catalog that comprises more than seven million tracks. “There’s no need to settle for 30-second clips to decide if you want to buy a song,” stated Chris Gorog, CEO of Napster. “For five bucks now you can have access to our entire music catalog and get five MP3s to add to your permanent collection.”

The new offering will actually let users download five unrestricted MP3s every month, having the freedom to choose between numerous music genres or labels, not to mention the large collection of independent artists that anyone will be able to access. If five songs prove insufficient, customers can easily buy additional ones for prices ranging between 69 cents to $1.29. Furthermore, Napster is also considering those who frequently get stuck on a certain track for hours on end, as they will be able to listen to any song as many times as they want, without having to settle for low or mediocre quality since Napster offers CD quality for all its items.

In addition, the music provider also includes more than 60 radio stations (where music is not interrupted by any advertisement so it can be appreciated at its full value) and about 1,400 playlists created by connoisseurs only. When present-day music does not appeal to your heart anymore, you can always use Napster to rediscover the tracks that made you happy in high school or college.

“A decade ago, Napster revolutionized the way people discovered and enjoyed music,” said the senior vice president of entertainment for Best Buy, Julie Owen. “The brand that started it all is shaking things up again with this new service that provides music lovers continued access to the entertainment experience they’ve come to expect of Napster and Best Buy.”

Currently, the latest Napster offering can be accessed by U.S. users here.
