Since not everyone will be willing to buy high-end networking accessories like the RP-N53 dual-band Wi-Fi range extender from ASUS, TRENDnet has introduced a significantly tamer option.

Said option goes by N150 Nano Easy-N-Range Extender, or part number TEW-713RE if we are to go all technical.

They are made for large homes, as alternatives to buying several different routers. Just install the TEW-713RE somewhere not too far from the router and the range will be extended, though furniture and walls will still weaken the signal.

For proper performance, buyers should take care to position the N150 Nano Easy-N-Range Extender where there are still two bars of network connectivity to the home router.

"The TEW-713RE is small, affordable, and offers solid performance," stated Sonny Su, technology director for TRENDnet. "It's also easy for the average user to install."

Spec-wise, the newcomer is based on IEEE 802.11n technology, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g , IEEE 802.3u, and IEEE 802.3.

It comes with one 10/100 Mbps Auto-MDIX LAN port and measures 81 x 52 x 31.5 mm (3.2 x 2.0 x 1.2 in.) in base form, 81 x 52 x 49.5 mm (3.2 x 2.0 x 1.95 in.) with US plug, and 81 x 52 x 70.5 mm (3.2 x 2.0 x 2.78 in.) with Euro plug (EU).

For control, TRENDnet included the WPS button (enables WPS function) and a reset button (restores factory default settings).

Furthermore, LED indicators show three different states. Green says the repeater was connected to AP successfully (static) or initializing (flashing). Static orange says the connection failed. Repeating red indicates a restart.

Finally, the TRENDnet N150 Nano Easy-N-Range Extender boasts 64 / 128-bit WEP, WPA / WPA2-PSK encryption.

There was no mention of a price, but everything else can be found on the product page and in the video embedded below.
