14 DAY TRIAL // Naim has just announced that it will soon add a new all-in-one audio player to its lineup of audio streaming products, dubbed the SuperUniti , which was designed to combine the features found inside the company's UnitiQute, Naim DAC and SuperNait integrated amplifier.
The unit is built around a latest-generation streaming board with a six-layer that design gives the SuperUniti the ability to stream 192kHz/24-bit content over its wireless or Ethernet connections from a wide range of sources.
These include not only networked devices but also internet radio, DAB radio, FM radio, or gadgets linked to the SuperUniti via the included USB port.
In addition, the Naim audio player can also work as an dock for the iPod or iPhone and packs a ten input digital and analogue preamplifier, digital to analogue converter, and 80 Watt stereo power amplifier.
Outside of the standard remote control, Naim also offers its users the option of controlling the SuperUniti via a dedicated control app, which goes by the name of n-Stream, and that is specially designed to work on the iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch.
"The SuperUniti is an exciting new product for us. It was previously thought that true high-end sound quality and the convenience of an all-in-one audio system just didn't go together,” said Paul Stephenson, MD at Naim Audio.
“NaimUniti proved, that with the right attention to detail, just what great sound quality can be achieved from a single component.
“Today, the SuperUniti goes a step further in bringing supreme sound quality to the world of single box hi-fi systems and brings the power to really connect with your music to a much wider audience," concluded the company's rep.
The SuperUniti will become available in November of this year and will carry a retail price tag of £3,250, which translates into about 3,734 Euros or $5107 US.
