Facebook doesn't believe it, even froze a man's account after accusing him of using this allegedly fake name to log in

As it turns out, social networking service Facebook has some serious trust issues. Not too long ago, it froze a man's account on the grounds that he was using a fake name instead of his real one.

The man claims that he simply woke up one day to find that he could no longer access his Facebook account, and that the only message he got from the website was not a very friendly one.

“Your account has been temporarily suspended because it looks like you're not using your real name. Facebook is a community where people use their real identities. We require everyone to provide their full name so you always know who you're connecting with.”

“Don't worry – you'll be able to get back into your timeline with your real, full name. If you're using a nickname, you can always add it back into your account later as an alternate name,” the message read.

The only problem is that the man was using his real identity. Apparently, Facebook only got confused because his middle name comprises 29 letters. Thus, this man is known to friends and family as Chase Nahooikaikakeolamauloaokalani Silva.

In order to be able to once again access his Facebook account, the man had to shorten it. However, he says that he would very much like it if he could display his full moniker on the social media site.

“That's my name. I am a proud Hawaiian who wants to be able to display my Hawaiian given name,” the man said in a statement, as cited by Huffington Post.
