OctoMom seems overwhelmed during impromptu photo-op

As she continues to shoot for the documentary slash reality show on being a mother of 14, including the octuplets she gave birth to earlier this year, Nadya Suleman is adamant to show the world she’s a mother just like any other. The other day, she took all eight infants to the park where, aided by one of her eldest children, tried to stage a photo-op, the Mirror says.

“Octuplets mum Nadya Suleman certainly has her hands full on this family picnic. Even with the help of the children’s big brother Elijah, eight, she seems to be struggling to feed the hungry brood. Nadya, 33, bravely decided to lunch in a park near home to show off eight-month-old Jonah, Isaiah, Noah, Nariah, Maliah, Macai, Jeremiah and Josiah. The eight babies, in matching Winnie-the-Pooh T-shirts, were juggled and jostled as Nadya tried to give them bottles of milk.” the British publication writes.

If photos are not enough to tell the story of how difficult it must be for Nadya to raise her own children (when the nannies are not around, that is), the aforementioned e-zine also includes a quote from an eyewitness. The onlooker describes the family outing as nothing short of a “nightmare,” saying it’s clear that Suleman was not cut out for this job and should have thought twice before having so many babies, a thought to which many concur.

As it’s already common knowledge, shortly after giving birth to the octuplets, Suleman came under serious fire in the media for already having six other minors at home. The fact that she did not have a job, was not married and still living with her parents, and survived on government assistance only made matters worse. Later on, she was also criticized by Gloria Allred, the powerhouse attorney who worked with Suleman for a short while, for calling her babies a “mistake” in a media interview.

“I think it’s very, very sad when any mother calls her child, or in this case, eight little babies, a mistake. How are the babies going to feel when they grow up and read one day, as they will, or view on the Internet, as they will, the fact that their mother calls them a mistake? Even if she thinks it, the fact that she said it is very, very troubling because has she considered the impact that would have on the children long-term? That’s a question to which I don’t have the answer, but I think that many people will agree with me that it’s rather disturbing that she would say that.” Allred was saying a while ago, as we also reported at the time.
