She’s often been criticized for taking handouts and freebies, but even OctoMom Nadya Suleman knows where and when to draw the line. According to her recent interview with Radar Online, she would never get a tummy tuck, even if it came for free, which should set the record straight as regards her imminent hospitalization for surgery.

Following intense speculation that Suleman was admitting herself to a private clinic to have some work done on her tummy and not to have fibroids removed from her uterus, the 33-year-old mother of 14 is now shooting down all such rumors. As far as she’s concerned, she’s always been the type of woman to do things naturally, therefore a tummy tuck is out of the question from the start. Plus, she doesn’t really need it because, soon enough, she’ll be working hard to get in shape, back to a size 2.

“I would never even accept a tummy tuck even if it were offered because I don’t need it. I’m actually shocked myself at my own body. My goal is to do things as naturally as possible.” Suleman says. Although she has not had time to start working out yet, Nadya is convinced she’ll soon be back to her former self, if her past experience with the other six children is any indication.

“I would like to join a gym. My friends have nicknamed me ‘Rubberband’ because after every singleton I had, within a month, I was back to a size 2. After the twins, it took me two months. Now, it’s been three months, and I’m not a 2 yet. I’m only a 5 or 6, but I’ll get there.” she explains.

According to Suleman, her goal of being a size 2 has nothing to do with vanity or how good she feels about herself, as much as it has to do with being healthy. When she’s this slim, she feels full of energy, which means she can get more things done when she needs to have them done – now that she has no less than 14 kids to care for, energy is actually the only thing that comes short on her list.

Speaking of children, Suleman also opens up in the same interview about her need to publicize her story to provide for her babies, a thing she wouldn’t do had she another choice. “What’s going on now is I feel obligated – almost compelled – to earn a living to take care of my kids. I was kind of catapulted into this, oblivious to my choices. Do I like attention – the inordinate attention that’s not even warranted because I’m not a celebrity, a ‘pseudo-celebrity?’ I don’t. I absolutely don’t. But I have to do what I have to do to take care of them.” Suleman adds.
