High performance computer cases are hard to come by as there are only a handful of manufacturing companies around which are specialized in such product lines. One of those companies in NZXT just announced the launch of a new gaming chassis, the Alpha Classic Series.

This new line of computer cases from NZXT is according to the news site vr-zone, an entry level product range, while aiming at providing users with a sleek and cool design, that combines the best manufacturing practices with affordable pricing schemes and lots of features. Right from the start, the screwless drive installation and possibility of housing many different types of computer mainboards are evident as this computer case is compatible with ATX, micro ATX and baby ATX motherboards, being well suited for gaming and home theater systems alike.

As most modern day computer systems come with many hard disk drives arrayed in RAID configurations, the NZXT Alpha Classic Series comes with four external 5.25 drive bays that are well suited for housing optical disc drives as well as five internal and two external 3.5 inch bays for hard drives. The presence of a seven slot expansion enclosure is also a good point as users will be able to mount just about any add-on cards they wish in that generous space.

As this series is aimed at computer gamers as well, the new cases also feature extensive cooling options like the 120mm rear fan, a blue LED fan mounted on the side of the case and an optional 120mm front fan, for a complete active cooling solution.

A number of external multimedia ports are also present on the front panel of this case series and the NZXT Alpha Classic comes with two external high speed USB 2.0 ports, an Intel HD audio connector, a headphone port and an external Serial ATA port for connecting external hard disk drives. This new line of NZXT cases are certified to work with the ultimate graphics cards based on the Nvidia 8800GTX graphics processing units and the presence of a side window panel is offering a complete view of the illuminated computer interior.
