Nvidia Corporation demonstrated how its latest Nvidia nForce Professional 3000-series media and communications processor (MCP) works during the same tradeshow which takes place in Taipei, Taiwan - Computex - an event which has overshadowed the entire week.

The manufacturer gave details regarding the benefits of this new development to all visitors interested. It seems that the latest Nvidia product targets enterprise computing markets, as it features a highly scalable and highly integrated architecture designed to bring professional customers an advanced platform solution for workstation and server operating environments.

"Computex is a great place to have the world's first public showing of our newest professional products supporting AMD's next-generation Opteron processors," said Manoj Gujral, general manager of the professional MCP business group at Nvidia.

"As the leader in PCI-Express-based core-logic solutions for AMD Opteron platforms, we are excited about extending our reach even further into the server and workstation computing markets, and believe that our new NVIDIA nForce Professional 3000 family will provide our customers with a truly innovative, scalable, and reliable platform solution."

More precisely, Nvidia's nForce Professional 3600 MCP has up to 28 lanes of PCI Express and a Nvidia nForce Professional 3050 companion chip. The manufacturer integrated on its nForce Professional 3000 special support for up to four Gigabit Ethernet connections, up to 12 SATA 3G/sec hard drives, and, as you all expected, support for Nvidia SLI technology - for the use of up to 4 GPUs simultaneously.

Such manufacturers as Arima, ASUSTEK, Gigabyte, Inventec, Iwill, MSI, Quanta, Supermicro, Tatung, Tyan will soon release Nvidia nForce Professional 3000-series MCPs based mainboards.
