The NVIDIA TegraZone is a pretty good application for tablets that bundle a Tegra processor, but starting this week you won't need a tablet fueled by NVIDIA to enjoy the service.

The app has finally been made available for all Android tablets, regardless of the chipset powering them. The TegraZone app version 2.9.0 has now become available for download in the Google Play store with the following mention.

"TegraZone is not intended to replace the purchase, download or functionality of Google Play, but rather to compliment it by providing a selection of premium games that developers believe will offer an exceptional experience for users of Tegra-powered phones and tablets."

The listing goes on to mention some of the tablets which are now compatible with the app: Nexus 7, Asus Transformer Prime TF201, Transformer Infinity TF700, Transformer Pad TF300, Acer A500, A510, A100, Toshiba AT300

The latest app version includes a few tweaks here and there, including new shortcut sharing icons, the possibility of highlighting special interest groups of games by publisher/feature/genre and support for NVIDIA Shield / Android HID controllers for set-top boxes and microconsoles.
