As soon as AMD releases the Radeon R9 290X, or maybe a bit after that

Yesterday, I said that NVIDIA had cut the prices of the GeForce GTX 660 and 650 Ti Graphics Cards. Now, I hear that the company might make a repeat performance.

I'm not exactly clear on the details, as the report wasn't very forthcoming. Since AMD has already launched most of its Radeon R9 and R7 graphics cards, it would make sense for all NVIDIA's price adjustments to happen now.

Also, AMD's R9 290X/290 hasn't been unveiled, and even if it gets released next week, it won't be enough to prompt a price cut on its own. After all, Hawaii powers only high-end video boards, so there is no reason why it would influence the tags of lower-end NVIDIA units.

Unless NVIDIA slashes the price of, say, GTX Titan and GTX 780. Maybe that's exactly what will happen next month (November 2013). If nothing else, we can hope.
