Well, it really seems that there are at least a couple of NVIDIA partners out there who're not willing to wait until the GPU manufacturer comes clean with their new GTX 580 and makes it official, since, after CyberPower sort of spilled the beans (especially as far as the tech specs are concerned) on the new graphics solution from NVIDIA, one of their direct competitors in the field of specialty gaming solutions, namely MainGear, has also done a bit of revealing of its own. So, after scouting a bit the company's website, we've come across a page dedicated specifically to the new GPU set to be revealed by NVIDIA later on today, and although they do provide less info on the actual board than CyberPower, it's enough to let gamers know that they'll be able to opt for what shapes up to be the world's fastest DX11 graphics card to date. Furthermore, it would seem that MainGear (or perhaps NVIDIA?) is having somewhat of a cross-promotion with the Call of Duty: Black Ops PC game, a latest-gen FPS title that will surely put the new graphics card from NVIDIA through its paces. Anyway, if you haven't managed to check out our (pretty numerous, really) articles on the topic of the new here's a quick round-up of the (yet unofficial) tech specs and features. So, the Fermi architecture delivers DirectX11 support, 3D Vision Surround, CUDA architecture for faster downloads and readbacks, and PhysX for more realistic gaming interaction. The new GeForce GTX 580 is clocked at 772MHz and features 512 CUDA cores, while packing 1.5GB of GDDR5 memory clocked at 4008MHz, which is capable of delivering 192.4 GB/sec worth of bandwidth. Plus, as mentioned yesterday, NVIDIA has also incorporated an innovative vapor thermal chamber for quieter gaming. No word on just how the new GTX 580 from NVIDIA will affect the overall pricing of the new GTX 580 GPUs, but the company will most likely make a statement regarding this issue in the near future, so stay close.
