NTT DoCoMo has just unveiled FOMA SIMPURE L2. This is a 3G handset aimed mostly at those that need a device for communication first of any other complex function.

The phone comes at sizes that are not at all impressive, although comfortable for easy handling by the user. It has a weight of about 110 grams at the sizes of 98 x 48 x 17.6 mm. Still, the phone does not lack style. The strong, straight lines that make up its design reveal the stylish side of this cellular. It looks simple, slim and elegant, without anything else to be added. FOMA SIMPURE L2 is, first of all, practical and that can be seen in its simple lines.

The TFT LCD 2.2 inch display is quite large and works with a resolution of up to 176 x 220 pixels. Its camera might be of interest for this phone's user, but it is capable of a resolution of only 1.3 megapixel. Moreover, it can also record video images, which comes as an unexpected bonus coming from this standard phone model.

What might interest its user when choosing this phone model is that it is capable of 3G connectivity, which raises its performances above average.

The phone has been designed by Tokyo-based French designer Gwenael Nicolas. Moreover, it will be displayed at the "Touch & Love DESIGN" that LG has organized to take place in Japan between the 3rd and the 8th of July.

FOMA SIMPURE L2 has been announced for release sometime towards the end of July. It will be available to be used with the DoCoMo WORLD WING roaming service and will work on W-CDMA, GSM and GPRS networks. Up to now, there has been made no specification on the estimate price that the FOMA SIMPURE L2 phone model will come for.
