NTT DoCoMo has announced that they will bring from now on Research in Motion's BlackBerry devices in Japan too. The devices will come with Japanese language support in order to make it easier for them to relate to this new market.

The BlackBerry 8707h is the smartphone which will benefit from this particularization in performances. The Japanese-language support is meant to make it easier for these devices to find users in this country, as it has always been difficult for foreign brands to make themselves noticed here. Nokia has seen this some time ago, when trying to enter the Japanese market, but failed in having any success.

BlackBerry 8707h will be available with Japanese input for emails, including text prediction. Aside from this, personal information management applications and a Japanese screen menu make it considerably easier for people in this country to properly use the device even if they don't know a foreign language. Such a solution has proved to be highly useful especially for entry-level handsets in India, as many new owners of such devices were familiar only with their native language with a specific writing support.

BlackBerry 8707h is actually a highly evolved device, but one entering a market which is difficult to conquer. These new features add to those of reading emails and browsing Web sites written in Japanese.

With the launch of the Japanese language support, there will also be introduced on this new market the localization of BlackBerry Enterprise Server and BlackBerry Desktop Manager. These services bring secure, push-based wireless email and access to corporate data as well as synchronizing the phone with a personal computer.

NTT DoCoMo will be the only carrier for the BlackBerry 8707h smartphone. The phone will be exhibited at Wireless Japan 2007, which will take place at Tokyo Big Sight between the 18th and the 20th of July.
