The mobile phone that gives off a relaxing scent

NTT DoCoMo and KDDI have released so many phones that it's actually hard to keep track of them all. While most people have seen plenty of phones with an amazing design, and even phones with a double LCD, an 'aroma' phone is still quite unusual. The SO703i, included in the 703i series recently presented by NTT DoCoMo, was manufactured by Sony Ericsson and comes with scented sheets.

Apparently, the mobile phone was designed to relax users while they are making calls and comes with nine different aromas the user can chose from. Apart from that, each aroma is coupled with a different panel design. While it's still hard to understand why someone would need to relax while talking on the phone, the SO703i is interesting nonetheless.

Most of the ten phones presented by NTT DoCoMo are pretty much your usual Japanese phones, which means boring for them, amazing from people living somewhere else, but two of those phones do bring something special, one being the SO703i and the other being the dual LCD D800iDS, that generally reminds you of a Nintendo DS.

According to some other information, the SO703i also features Sony Bravia technology and supports enhanced contrast and crisp outlines, a 2.7 inch 260k color WQVGA TFT LCD display, 2 megapixel camera as well as a 0.1 megapixel internal camera. It also comes equipped with a MicroSD card slot for memory expansion and is available in Romantic Gold, Aqua White and Misty Black versions.

Both the D800iDS and the 703i series phones including the SO703i aroma phone will start shipping during February, the only thing left for DoCoMo customers to do is decide what phone they prefer.
