14 DAY TRIAL // The development team at EA Sports working on NHL 15 is ready to reveal the best five goalies that will be included in the hockey simulation and says that more player ratings will be offered for the community to evaluate in the coming days.
The fifth most capable puck stopper in the video game will be Pekka Rinne from the Nashville Predators, who has a 91 overall rating.
EA Sports states in the official reveal that “Despite an injury plagued season, the big Fin just managed to crack the top five goalies in NHL 15. He gives the Predators a chance to win every time he is in-between the pipes, and has one of the league’s best glove hands – carrying a (90) Glove High rating.”
The fourth best goalie in NHL 15 is Tuukka Rask from the Boston Bruins, who has a 92 overall but has a lower glove rating, while excelling in both athletic ability and his reflexes.
Carey Price from the Montreal Canadiens, with a 92 overall, is in third place according to the developers, and he will continue to develop in the current years and might become one of the best possible goalies in the next few years.
Jonathan Quick from the L.A. Kings has a 93 overall, and the EA Sports studio states, “The former Conn Smythe winner and two time Stanley Cup champion has been one of the league’s top netminders for the past five years. Quick challenges shooters with (91) Aggressiveness – but uses his amazing Athletic ability with (91) Speed and Agility to get back into position.”
Finally, gamers will be able to play with Henrik Lundqvist of the New York Rangers, another 93 overall player who will deliver the best performance if players manage him right.
He has five stars in all his attributes and is almost impossible to score against when his team protects him well.
NHL 15 is the newest version of the hockey sim from EA Sports and includes a range of new features linked to the updated Ignite engine.
Gamers will be able to enjoy improved physics and interactions for both the players and the puck, and all those who take the ice will be smarter when it comes to both offensive and defensive plays.
NHL 15 will be launched on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft and last-gen consoles, and the experience from the past few years suggests that the game will not get a PC port.
