The 19-inch display NEC MultiSync LCD1980FXi offers a variety of functions. For example, the extremely narrow edge of only 12 mm facilitates the installation of several screens next to each other or to a monitor wall (up to 25 devices), without the active screen surface to be impaired by a broad edge. The TileComp function integrated into the NEC MultiSync LCD1980FXi optimizes the implementing of multi-screen applications. The high resolution of 1280 x of 1024 pixels provides a very good image and CableComp is adjusting the image quality by automatic signal compensation through up to 100 meter long cables.

Like all high-end monitor series from Nec, NEC MultiSync LCD1980FXi also comes with three interfaces (DVI, DVI D, VGA).

Besides all that, NEC MultiSync LCD1980FXi offers a maximum of ergonomics: elevation adjustment up to 130 mm, up to 360 degrees tiltability and, in addition, the display can be positioned at 90 degrees in the Portrait mode.

The maximum resolution of the NEC MultiSync LCD1980FXi is 1280 x 1024 pixels at 60 Hz, 16.7 million colours can be displayed, and the maximum brightness is 270 candela/m2 at a contrast ratio of 600:1. Together with a response time of 18 ms, the S-IPS panel of the NEC MultiSync LCD1980FXi provides excellent picture quality for professional applications.

The NEC MultiSync Soundbar 80 with two loudspeakers and a headphone connector is available as an optional extra.

The display is intended for high-end and professional users and the price is 1057 Euro (including VTA) and will become available in April.
