NEC's LaVie series already grew by one member, but the company is not finished yet, having also brought out three 15.6-inch and one 16-inch L series models, all of them powered by Intel processors and loaded with Windows 7 Home Premium.

NEC has already been revealed to have completed development of the LaVie light BL550/CS, which is, essentially, a better than average Pine Trail netbook.

Now, instead of releasing a new PC based on the Atom N550 dual-core, NEC has put a different set of Intel CPUs to good use when making the LaVie L lineup.

The LL370/CS6, LL750/CS6 and LL770/CS6 have a screen size of 15.6 inches, while the LL870/CS uses a display of 16 inches.

All of these panels come with the 16:9 cinematic aspect ratio and boast LED backlighting, for a plus in energy efficiency.

The LL370/CS6 has, at its heart, an Intel Celeron P4600 CPU, whose frequency is of 2GHz. This machine also features a DVD writer.

The performance bar rises with the other three LaVie L products. The LL770/CS6 employs a Core i3-370M part, with a clock of 2.4 GHz, while both the LL750/CS6 and LL870/CS are built around the same 2.53 GHz Intel Core i5-460M processor.

These three Intel Core-based mobile PCs also benefit from the optical storage and multimedia playback prowess of a Blu-ray drive.

The rest of the specifications are, more or less, similar between the four of them, from the up to 4GB of DDR3 memory to the Gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.1, USB 3.0 connectivity and the hard drive with a storage capacity of up to 640 GB.

Not only that, but their maker even went ahead and threw USB 3.0 conectivity into the mix.

Finally, on the software side, the notebooks are pre-loaded with Microsoft's Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit operating system, as well as Office Home and Business 2010. As for pricing, the newcomers are selling for between $1,722 and $2,200.
