The United States division of the NEC company has just announced the launch of two lines of widescreen LCD monitors aimed at gamers and multimedia customers. The new monitors are from the AccuSync GX and CX series and they come to improve the line of display related NEC products that includes LCD desktop and commercial large-screen LCDs, plasma displays and projectors.

From the two product families NEC launched a number of three monitors, the 19-inch AccuSync LCD19WMGX, the 22-inch LCD22WMGX and the 24-inch LCD24WMCX, which are all oriented on both speed and performance. The new series of LCD computer monitors is intended to replace the older GX series of products which were the standard setting displays of their days. As the worldwide trend is to go to larger and wider LCD monitors while increasing performance and image clarity, the new NEC monitors include a number of innovations like the ''super-bright OptiClear Screen Technology, which provides rich color saturation, remarkable clarity and true-to-life contrast to enhance the user's overall visual experience'', according to the manufacturing company's press release.

''As performance-hungry consumers make the transition to wide-screen displays, NEC offers this premium AccuSync GX and CX wide-screen series with better performance in a larger screen footprint,'' said Andy Anderson, Product Manager for NEC Display Solutions. ''These users are craving high-performance, wide-screen displays to stream video, view and edit photos, or explore dynamic Web content with accurate representation.'' The smaller AccuSync LCD22WMGX comes with a native resolution of 1680 by 1050 pixels, while the NEC AccuSync LCD24WMCX is offering a real estate desktop space of 1920 by 1200 pixels. An intermediate display solution between the two monitors is the AccuSync LCD19WMGX which supports a native screen resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels. All the new NEC widescreen computer monitors integrate sound speakers, low 5ms response times and high contrast rations that reach 1000:1 in the case of the LCD19WMGX screen or 2000:1 dynamic ratios fro the other two LCD displays.

Just like most modern high end displays, these too come with integrated support for HDMI connectivity and HDCP, being able to connect to computer systems, DVD players and video-game consoles. Among the most important technologies that were integrated by NEC into the manufacturing process of these new monitor lines, there are the Ambix technology, which allows the LCD analog and digital connection to some graphics cards and the Super-bright OptiClear Screen technology which provides rich color features, high clarity and real life contrast. The AccuSync LCD19WMGX LCD widescreen monitor is now available for shipment with an estimated price tag of $279.99, while the middle range AccuSync LCD22WMGX screen comes at a price of $379.99 and the high end monitor, the AccuSync LCD24WMCX will be available later in September at $549.99.
