EA Sports is kicking off its sports games launch schedule with NCAA Football 11, the college level football simulation that often serves as a platform for testing changes that are then integrated to the Madden series. The game is available today in North America, on the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 3 from Sony and the PS2, and EA Sports has also put out a patch that is set to fix some issues with the new game while also introducing gameplay changes based on the demo fans have offered once they downloaded and tried out the demo version of NCAA Football 11.

One crash has been eliminated, caused by a connection being lost before a game mode was entered and the online game modes have been improved, with an issue that caused non synchronized tackles eliminated. The Artificial Intelligence that powers the opposing teams in NCAA Football 11 has also been improved, making it more difficult for player to exploit their mistakes in order to gain ground easy. There are also changes made to the “tightrope assignment when running along the sideline”, which caused the player controlled characters to actually loose speed as they went up the field.

A lot of fixes are also aimed at the quarterbacks. They are no longer able to simply walk through defenses when the ball is snapped and making it harder to throw very precise deep passes that could bypass entire defenses.

NCAA Football 11 comes complete with a better physics system that allows for more real life like moves for the player and with the addition of the Pro Tak gang tackling. The looks of the teams have also been improved and the lightning system has been tweaked to make games more realistic. EA Sports is also saying that it has improved the recruiting system for Dynasty Mode.
