With the NCAA March Madness over, Electronic Arts has finally found the time to announce the names of the athletes who would grace the covers of the different editions of the NCAA Football 10 videogame, currently set to be released on July 14 for the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation Portable and the PlayStation 2. The four covers will show Michael Crabtree, Brian Johnson, Brian Orakpo and Mark Sanchez. The athletes have been given this honor due to the support delivered to their teams.

Michael Crabtree, an ex player of Texas Tech University, is on the cover of the Xbox 360 version of the game. He has received the Biletnikoff and Paul Warfield Awards twice. Players who choose the PlayStation 3 version of the game will get to see Brian Johnson, who led the Utah Utes towards becoming the only undefeated NCAA Division I team, while Johnson was named the Most Outstanding Player in the 2009 Sugar Bowl.

On the PSP, the cover will be dominated by the figure of Mark Sanchez, who is a former quarterback for the University of Southern California. He was the Most Valuable Offensive Player in the 2009 Rose Bowl. On the PS2, the cover is home to Brian Orakpo, former player of the University of Texas.

All of the above players will be available in the all new Season Showdown game mode, introduced in NCAA Football 10. This blends single player matches and multiplayer encounters to create a season-long competition between the teams in college football. Each player will choose to represent a school and winning matches will earn him/her points that will be stacked towards the total of his/her school.

NCAA Football 10 also offers players the ability to create personalized logos, uniforms, fields, rosters and all the other content needed to create a whole new football team. The TeamBuilder feature, as it is called, will allow players to make sure that their personality is clearly represented through the teams they create.
